PRESENTATION OF THE BOOK OF EDVARD ZHAMGOCHYAN “ARMENIANS FROM FORMER BAZARDZHIK” PUBLISHING “ARARAT”, ROMANIA, 2014

On September 19, 2014 in Dobrich was presented the book of Edvard Zhamgochyan “Armenians from former Bazardzhik”. The event was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide. Author Edward Zhamgochyan is known among the Romanian public with his works on Armenian issues. Unfortunately, we know very little about this compatriot, who was born in Bucharest and in the 70s of last century lived in New York, USA. He continued to write and nowadays – mainly articles about the Armenian press in the diaspora. The book is filled with events and facts, richly illustrated with many photos and maps, some of which are over 100 years old. Financial assistance for the issuance of the book was given by AGBU Plovdiv Chapter. On the day of the presentation of the book, in Dobrich, representative of “AGBU” Dr. Bohos Garzharyan, President of the Union in Ruse made a statement on behalf of Mr. Rupen Chavushyan, who at that time was in Etchmiadzin, Armenia at the council of the Armenian Church.
