On 3 October 2015 in Plovdiv, AGBU Plovdiv chapter organized a concert of vocal – instrumental group “Erebuni”(VIG), on which was presented disk “To Our Teacher With Love” – selected performances of the group of the period from 1974 to 1988, collected by Agop Daydzhanyan, AGBU Plovdiv Chapter honorary Chairman, founder and first director of the group in 1971.
The concert began with a beloved song – “Yerevan Erebuni”. Followed known Armenian songs “Ashun” performed by Taki Melkonyan, “Im hin Ser” – Simona Pachadzhyan and Harry Shishmanian, Goradz yerazner” etc. One of the well-known songs for the 1974-1988 period was the folk song – “Jeyrani Bess.” At concert in Plovdiv it was implemented in a new arrangement by the young and talented singer Marina Spasova, a student of Armenian Saturday school of AGBU Plovdiv chapter. Fifteen-year-old Marina is fluent in spoken and written Armenian language, without even a drop of Armenian blood in her veins.
VIG “Erebuni” presented some of the new songs that are included in the creative season of the group. Strong culmination put the ensemble performance of the song “Men yenk mer karera.” The wave of applause with which the audience repeatedly expressed their approval and love to give the group of contractors VIG “Erebuni” the much needed energy with which to continue their mission in the life of our community.
The disc that was presented at the concert with the title “To Our Teacher With Love” and issued thanks to the sponsorship of Mr. Rupen Chavushyan, Chairman of AGBU Plovdiv chapter.
