Plovdiv, Bulgaria — September 2025. The month of September brought an extraordinary artistic collaboration to Plovdiv as the “YAN” Dance Ensemble took part in an intensive series of rehearsals led by distinguished guests from Armenia — Mr. Arthur Gasoyan, Deputy Director of the National Center for Folklore, Music and Dance of Armenia, and Maestro Gagik Karapetyan, Ballet Master and Artistic Director of the State Dance Ensemble of Armenia.
Invited by the leadership of AGBU Plovdiv as part of a special cultural initiative, the visit aimed to provide young dancers from the Armenian Diaspora with a direct and inspiring connection to their ancestral homeland. This rare opportunity offered a living bridge to Armenian heritage — made possible through the artistry, discipline, and mentorship of the visiting choreographers.

Under the precise guidance of Arthur Gasoyan and the creative vision of Maestro Karapetyan, the young performers of “YAN” were transformed. Their technique, expression, and emotional depth reached new heights, filling rehearsals with passion, discipline, and a renewed sense of purpose.
The initiative was made possible through the unwavering efforts of Mrs. Hripsime Nourikian, Chairperson of AGBU Plovdiv, and Sylvia Yuzengidzhiyan – public relations and creative artistic coordinator, whose personal dedication and leadership ensured the project’s success. Their commitment not only elevated the ensemble’s artistic level but also united families, community members, and supporters who witnessed more than five captivating performances that followed the rehearsals.

These events left audiences deeply moved — filled with pride, gratitude, and admiration for the young dancers and for AGBU Plovdiv’s continuous mission to nurture Armenian culture, identity, and artistic excellence within the Diaspora.
