Faith and Fellowship: First Meeting for Children and Youth with Rev. Fr. Daniel Karadjian

Plovdiv, Bulgaria — October 12, 2025. At the invitation of Rev. Fr. Daniel Karadjian, spiritual pastor of the Armenian Apostolic Church “Sourp Kevork” in Plovdiv, children, youth, and their parents gathered for an engaging and inspiring inaugural lecture marking the beginning of a new educational series on faith and tradition.

This initiative, supported by AGBU Plovdiv, aims to strengthen the spiritual connection of the younger generation with the Armenian Church by presenting familiar yet often complex rituals and sacred artifacts in an accessible and meaningful way.

During the talk, Fr. Daniel Karadjian introduced participants to the main liturgical items used in the Divine Liturgy, explaining their symbolism and significance within the Armenian faith. In a moment that captivated both children and adults, he invited one young attendee to don the robe of a church server—bringing the lesson to life through a vivid and touching illustration of devotion and service.

Following the lecture, guests were warmly welcomed at the Armenian Cultural Center, where the Ladies of AGBU Plovdiv, with the generous support of local benefactors “Agi-1” and “Ovi & Sari,” hosted a reception featuring homemade sweets, tea, and coffee. The atmosphere of fellowship and gratitude reflected the spirit of the day—one rooted in faith, community, and continuity.

This gathering marked the first in a planned series of meetings dedicated to deepening the understanding of Armenian Christian tradition and nurturing the next generation’s connection to its spiritual heritage.
