ARMENIAN HUMOR IN THE OLD TOWN
It was for the first time this year that from 24th till 30th September the Old Town of Plovdiv was host to 37 cultural events in various fields. One of the main activities was a retro festival on 29th September, comprising a carnival parade and presentation of ethnic groups. The aim of the organizers was to show to the guests the historic and cultural heritage of the Old Town of Plovdiv, a heritage connected to all ethnic groups who currently live in the town or have left their traces there.
Children Theatre was invited to take part with the play “Giragosi Mahu” in Armenian language. In addition, solo singer Ivana Mutskova represented the AGBU Vocal Studio with the Armenian song “Hayastan”.
The Old Town of Povdiv festivities continued with a retro parade on the main street. The procession was led by a carriage and a brass orchestra.
