On 18th October 2012 the town of Plovdiv celebrated the beginning of the Month of Armenian Culture. The event was organized by the Armenian Embassy in Bulgaria and the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Plovdiv and was the second activity after the performance of the state dance ensemble “Baramutyun” that was held on 1st September in Plovdiv.

The opening event at MALL Galeria was also attended by His Excellency Arsen Shoyan, ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia in Bulgaria, representatives of other diplomatic missions in the town, intellectuals and fellow-countrymen.
On a display stand dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the publishing of the first Armenian book AGBU Plovdiv presented some of its publications dating from 1996 till 2011.
